Robert Zemeckis analysis
Robert Zemeckis is one of the directors that has done many classic films that people adore and are considered staples of the modern film scene, but barely anyone knows about the director. One of his earliest films has become one of if not the most popular time travel film of all time: Back to the future. He also returned for the two sequels after releasing "Who Framed Roger Rabbit". He also helped bring Tom Hanks career to most peoples attention by directing the film the would win his second Oscar for Forrest Gump and returned to work with him for Cast Away. His films generally have a lighthearted tone to them and try to create characters that it's easy for the audience to love, a prime example of this is Forrest Gump, which handles some very mature themes like war and death but also manages to keep a feeling of wonder and happiness that travels with Forrest throughout the film
